Hints & Tips

• Leave the pump running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Plant roots require continuous access to oxygen and nutrient solution for optimum growth.
• Young plants started in 1-inch rockwool cubes, Root Riots or Jiffy plugs can be transplanted into the system once they have developed a healthy root structure.
• Plants under grow lights often consume water faster than nutrients, causing EC levels to rise. Top up with half-strength nutrient solution and regularly monitor EC levels.
• After topping up, adjust pH accordingly and perform a complete nutrient solution change every 2–3 weeks depending on plant size, water quality and water hardness.
